Care at home services have a pivotal role in limiting community transmission and we want to highlight important COVID-19 guidance for these settings.
- Scottish Government has published testing guidance for care at home services.
- Health Protection Scotland has published Domiciliary Care Guidance.
- The NHS National Infection Prevention and Control Manual should be followed. Its addendum on community health and care settings is now mandatory so care at home staff should be aware of it.
- Our COVID-19 FAQs are reviewed on a fortnightly basis and our COVID-19 compendium links to a range of good practice information.
- In response to current pressures, the Care Inspectorate and the SSSC are supporting short-notice recruitment and deployment. See our joint statement for further details.
- Our Quality Framework for Support Services (including care at home supported living) includes key question 7 to support inspection and self-evaluation during the pandemic.
